Spiritual Cramp are a punk band from San Francisco, formed in 2017 around vocalist Michael Bingham. They spent their first years issuing singles and short EPs before releasing a self-titled album in 2023. The songs are brief and hook-led, borrowing the bounce and off-kilter rhythms of late-1970s British punk and early post-punk rather than the speed of hardcore, with Bingham's sneered, conversational vocals over clean, trebly guitar. Their live presentation leans on a scruffy mod-ish look that matches the records.
