Solo alt-metal built from bedroom production upward — nu-metal bounce with a genuinely modern pop ear, at the front of the scene's internet-native new wave.

Amira Elfeky was born and raised in Simsbury, Connecticut, to an Egyptian father and an American mother, and moved to San Francisco with her family at eighteen before settling in Los Angeles. Her father played her Arabic songs as a child, her mother introduced her to classic rock, and her two older brothers brought nu-metal into the house.

She writes, records and largely produces her own material, working from downtuned riffs and programmed drums, screamed passages set against clean melodic singing, filtered through a pop sensibility and a home-recording approach. She has named Evanescence, Linkin Park, Deftones, System of a Down, Lana Del Rey and Lady Gaga as influences.

Elfeky built an audience online before moving into wider release, putting out her debut EP, Skin to Skin, in March 2024. She began working with producer Zakk Cervini that year, and their collaboration produced her second EP, Surrender, released in March 2025.

She featured on 'Judgement Day', a track from Architects' album The Sky, the Earth & All Between, and was nominated for Best International Breakthrough Artist at the 2025 Heavy Music Awards. She opened for Bring Me the Horizon's US tour that September and is booked to support I Prevail's Violent Nature Tour alongside Polaris in 2026, part of a younger generation revisiting late-1990s and early-2000s heavy rock from an internet-native starting point.
