Sleep Theory is an alternative metal band from Memphis, Tennessee, formed in the early 2020s. Their sound sits between post-grunge and modern metalcore, combining down-tuned, rhythmically heavy guitar and programmed low end with melodic, R&B-inflected clean singing from vocalist Cullen Moore. The contrast between the soulful lead vocal and the aggression of the instrumentation is the band's main identifying feature, and the group emerged largely through streaming and short-form video rather than a long club-circuit apprenticeship.
