Drop Dead, Gorgeous formed in Colorado in 2004 and became part of the wave of American post-hardcore bands that folded synthesizers, drum programming and pop hooks into screamed vocals and hardcore structures. Their records paired that electronic layer with the abrupt tempo shifts and dual clean/harsh vocal trade-offs common to the mid-2000s scene, and they toured heavily during those years before going quiet. The band has since returned to playing live.
