Egypt Central formed in Memphis, Tennessee, and emerged during the late-2000s wave of American active rock. Their sound is built on heavy, straightforward riffs and sung choruses, with John Falls on vocals. The band's self-titled debut produced the single "You Make Me Sick," and their follow-up album White Rabbit yielded "White Rabbit" and "Whatever It Takes," the latter of which performed well on US rock radio. The group disbanded in the early 2010s, with members going on to other projects.
