Héctor Oaks is a Spanish DJ and producer, originally from Madrid and based in Berlin, associated with the harder, groove-driven end of contemporary techno. He is a resident at Tbilisi's Bassiani and a familiar name at Berghain, and runs the Oaks label. His sets are typically long, vinyl-heavy and mixed across three or four decks, layering percussive loops and stripped-back rhythm tracks rather than relying on obvious peaks. The style sits close to the hard-groove and Spanish techno lineage, played at sustained warehouse volume.
