Swings between crushing riddim and full melodic bass, often inside the same set — mammoth branding, matching drops.

Adam Pallis, who records as Wooli, grew up in Rochester, New York, where a mix by British drum-and-bass producer Andy C first drew him into bass music. Regular trips to Bassnectar shows and other electronic festivals from around 2010 made him, in his own description, a dubstep rave kid well before he released anything himself.

His sets and releases move between heavy, low-end riddim material and more melodic, emotionally pitched bass music. Early tracks such as the 2016 collaboration 'DayDream' with Jantsen and a remix of 'Gettin That' leaned into the harder end of that range, while 2018's 'Falling,' made with Trivecta, pushed toward a more melodic bass sound.

Wooli's widest recognition has come through collaborations with Seven Lions: 'Island,' also featuring Trivecta, reached number 20 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart in 2019, and 'Another Me,' made with Excision, reached number 46 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart the same year.

The woolly mammoth imagery running through his artwork and stage presentation has become as recognizable as the tracks themselves, a visual identity built over a decade of collaborations with other producers across the American bass scene, from Jantsen and Kompany to Slander and YOOKiE.
