Pittsburgh duo Anna Thompson and Taylor Knight, who build electronic scores and choreography as one inseparable thing — movement you can hear.

slowdanger is a Pittsburgh-based collaboration between Anna Thompson and Taylor Knight, working across contemporary dance, electronic composition and performance. The pair make their own sound scores alongside the choreography, so the music and the movement are developed together rather than one being set to the other.

Their work draws on synthesis, processed voice and percussion, often presented in gallery and theater settings as well as music venues. Performances tend to be built around the two of them as both performers and sound sources, with lighting and staging treated as part of the composition.
