Alisha is an American singer who came up through New York's dance-pop and freestyle scene in the mid-1980s, when club records driven by drum machines and synthesizers were crossing over to radio. Her singles from that period, among them "All Night Passion" and "Baby Talk," placed a light, girlish pop vocal over the stiff electronic bounce that would become freestyle's signature, and they remain staples of the genre's reissues and revival shows. She has continued to perform the material on bills built around the same era of dance music.
