Berlin choir of amateur singers rearranging pop and rock songs for dozens of voices, as at home in a bar as on a stage.
The Berliner Kneipenchor began as a group of singers meeting in Berlin bars, and grew into a large ensemble that arranges familiar pop, rock and hip hop songs for many voices at once. There is no audition-hardened conservatory feel to it: the members are amateurs, and the arrangements are built to be sung shoulder to shoulder in a crowded room. Their videos of songs performed in pubs and on the street brought them an audience well beyond Berlin.
