Lily Seabird
Burlington's raw-hearted songwriter — cracked-open folk-rock with a voice that frays exactly where it counts, DIY-scene devotion well earned.
Lily Seabird grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, before studying for two years at the New School and then transferring to the University of Vermont, where she graduated in 2019 with degrees in political science and English. She later worked as a Climate and Energy Fellow at the Vermont Public Interest Research Group.
She released her first EP, Beside Myself, in 2021, and is now signed to Lame-O Records. Her recordings favor unpolished arrangements and plainly delivered vocals, moving between quiet passages and louder, fuller band sections.
Her debut album, Alas, arrived in 2024, followed in 2025 by Trash Mountain, whose title comes from the area of Burlington where she lives alongside a group of fellow musicians. Both records extended the loose, guitar-led folk-rock sound established on her earlier EP.
Seabird has played and collaborated within Burlington's independent music scene, including work with musician Greg Freeman, and her records have circulated largely through small-label and DIY channels. In June 2026 she released Election Day, the lead single from her forthcoming album Lightspheres On Their Way, due out that September.
