Tony Kamel & Kym Warner
A duo pairing the Wood & Wire frontman with the Greencards mandolinist, two Texas-connected pickers trading songs in a stripped-back acoustic setting.
Tony Kamel sings and plays guitar in Wood & Wire, the Austin band whose album North of Despair was nominated for a Grammy in the bluegrass category. Kym Warner grew up in Australia and moved to Texas, where he co-founded the Greencards, a group that spent years touring the United States with a mandolin-and-fiddle-driven sound before he settled in Nashville. Working as a pair, the two strip things back to mandolin, guitar and two voices, drawing on their own catalogs and on older material.
