Fronted by the fiddler who spent decades in the Del McCoury Band and the Travelin' McCourys, now singing lead over his own arrangements.

Jason Carter joined the Del McCoury Band in 1992 and stayed for decades, later splitting his time with the Travelin' McCourys, the offshoot the McCoury sons built around the same rhythm section. He has been named fiddle player of the year at the IBMA awards more than once, and his playing is bluesy and rhythmically loose inside very tight band arrangements. With his own group he takes the lead vocal, working through honky-tonk material and slow ballads that sit lower than the usual bluegrass tenor range.
