German duo behind 'Phatt Bass' — hard dance with a rave-anthem streak that has aged better than it had any right to.

Warp Brothers are a German production duo who emerged at the end of the 1990s, working in hard house and hard trance. They are best known for "Phatt Bass," a big, riff-driven club track that became a fixture of European dance floors around the turn of the millennium and remains the record most associated with the name.

Their sound stays close to that template: pounding four-to-the-floor kicks, distorted basslines, and vocal hooks pitched at rave-sized rooms. Alongside their own productions they have worked extensively as remixers within the hard dance scene.
