Old-school jungle and 90s rave revived without irony — breakbeats, air horns, and a set that runs at the pace the name suggests.

4AM Kru is a London group working in old-school jungle and ragga jungle, with UK garage also in the mix. Their music draws on the breakbeat science and rave signifiers of the early-to-mid 1990s — chopped amen breaks, sub-bass, sirens and MC-style vocal samples — played straight rather than as pastiche. Their sets tend to run at full jungle tempo throughout, favouring the momentum and dancefloor pressure of the original era.
