Leeds-via-Bradford producer leading the jungle revival — breakbeats under genuinely tender songwriting, rave history reclaimed as diary.

Nia Archives is a British producer, DJ and singer born in Bradford and raised partly in Leeds and Manchester. She works primarily in jungle and drum and bass, building tracks from chopped breakbeats and heavy sub-bass while singing her own vocals over the top — a combination that sets her apart from much of the instrumental end of the genre.

Her records draw on the sound of early-1990s British rave while pushing the songwriting toward something personal and often melancholy, touching on family, displacement and growing up. She released the album Silence Is Loud in 2024, and has become one of the more visible figures in the recent revival of jungle in the UK.
