Colombian singer and producer behind the Ferxxo persona and its green-tinted merch world, working a soft, melodic strain of reggaeton he wrote for other artists long before singing it himself.

Feid is Salomón Villada Hoyos, born in Medellín in 1992, the son of a preschool teacher and psychologist and a university arts professor; he is of mestizo and Syrian descent. As a child he learned clarinet before switching to singing, performing in his college choir and at parties, and took music extension courses at the University of Antioquia before settling on reggaeton over the hip-hop and R&B he grew up on.

Before his own records took hold he was credited as a co-writer on J Balvin's "Ginza", one of the biggest reggaeton singles of 2015, and he kept a foot in writing rooms, working with Sebastián Yatra among others, while building the Ferxxo catalogue.

His vocals sit high and half-sung, often doubled and heavily processed, over beats that stay slow and fairly sparse. "Normal" and "Ferxxo 100" moved him from Medellín favourite to mainstream radio, and "Classy 101", a duet with Young Miko, pushed him further outside Colombia. Live, he leans on the crowd to carry the hooks.

He kept working outside his own catalogue too: "Dorado", recorded with the Italian artists Mahmood and Sfera Ebbasta, appeared in 2020, and he has worked in the studio with Bad Bunny, Manuel Turizo, Maluma and Karol G.

In 2026 he featured on Madonna's "Read My Lips", from her album Confessions II, later paired with a World Cup version of the track, a crossover far removed from the Medellín party circuit where Ferxxo started.
