Oxymorrons are a band from Queens, New York, working in the overlap between hip-hop and rock. Rather than treating rap and guitars as separate sections to be traded off, they tend to write with both operating at once, with rapped and sung vocals over punk and alt-rock arrangements. The group has built much of its reputation on live performance, and its material frequently touches on race, identity and the experience of being a Black band in rock spaces.
