The Police's drummer and the Bengaluru composer behind their shared Grammy winner Police Beyond Borders, restaging those songs with Indian classical firepower.

Stewart Copeland spent parts of his childhood in Beirut and Cairo before drumming in the Police, and after the band's breakup he moved into film and television scoring, opera and ballet. Ricky Kej is a composer based in Bengaluru who works with Indian classical musicians and singers from outside the tradition, and who won a Grammy for Winds of Samsara with the South African flautist Wouter Kellerman. The two made Divine Tides together, which took the Grammy for Best New Age Album, pairing Copeland's percussion with Kej's arrangements for Indian instruments and voices.
