Wild Pink is a New York band led by singer, guitarist and songwriter John Ross. The group emerged in the mid-2010s from the city's DIY scene and gradually shifted from spare, wiry indie rock toward something broader, with layered guitars, keyboards and long build-ups. Ross sings quietly, often close to a murmur, over arrangements that draw on American heartland rock without the bombast, and his lyrics tend toward accumulated small details and plainly stated observations.
