Bad Nerves are a five-piece from Essex who play fast, compressed power-pop informed equally by the Ramones, late-1970s punk and early-2000s garage rock revival. Bobby Bird sings, and the band's songs tend to run around two minutes, built on rapid downstroke guitar, handclap-adjacent backbeats and shouted group choruses.
They built a reputation through relentless touring in the UK and Europe, and their recorded output keeps the same approach as the live set: little space between songs, tempos pushed to the edge of what the arrangements can hold, and melodies that stay hummable underneath the noise.
