Argentina's beloved indie-pop romantics — silky, synthy heartache anthems that made them a fixture of Latin America's festival circuit.

Bandalos Chinos formed in the Buenos Aires area in 2009 and became one of the more widely heard Argentine indie-pop bands of the following decade. Their sound combines soft-focus synthesizers, funk-inflected guitar and bass, and vocal harmonies, with lyrics that mostly stay in romantic and melancholy territory. The 2018 album Bach marked their breakthrough to a wider Latin American audience, and later records have pushed further into pop production while keeping the band's group-vocal approach intact.
