Blossoms formed in Stockport in 2013 and take their name from a pub in the town. The five-piece pair guitar-led indie rock with prominent keyboards and synthesisers, and their songs tend toward direct, hook-driven writing.
Their self-titled debut appeared in 2016 and reached number one in the UK, and subsequent albums have also topped the chart. The band have remained closely identified with Greater Manchester, and have played large hometown shows alongside regular touring.
