Louisiana producer who plays live guitar over riddim — swamp-funk licks in a robotic genre, and a genuinely funny, warm presence in a serious scene.

Boogie T is the project of Brock Thornton, a producer and guitarist from Louisiana. He works mostly in the heavier, riddim-leaning end of dubstep, but is distinguished by playing guitar live over his own tracks, bringing blues and funk phrasing into music otherwise built from synth bass.

He has also worked in a duo format under the name Boogie T.rio, which puts the same material in a full band setting. His sets tend to mix bass music with covers and humour, and he is a recognisable figure in the American bass scene.
