Marseille metalcore outfit trading in huge melodic choruses and breakdowns, with occasional French lyrics cutting through the English.
Landmvrks formed in Marseille in the mid-2010s and became one of the more widely heard French bands working in metalcore. Their music sets clean, high-reaching choruses against low-tuned riffing and breakdowns, with vocals moving between melodic singing, screaming and passages closer to rap phrasing. Most lyrics are in English, though French surfaces in places.
The band has built its audience largely outside France as well as at home, releasing through the German label Arising Empire and touring steadily across Europe. Their reputation rests heavily on a physical live show, and on songs that pair the heaviest sections with hooks meant to be sung back.
