Slaughter To Prevail formed in Yekaterinburg, Russia, in 2014, built around vocalist Alex Terrible, whose extremely low guttural register became the group's calling card and the basis of a large online following. The band pairs that voice with deathcore structured around slow, weighted breakdowns and blunt riffing, with elements of death metal and nu metal in the mix.

Their live presentation leans on visual identity as much as sound, with Terrible often performing in a metal mask.
