Electric Callboy formed in Castrop-Rauxel, in Germany's Ruhr region, in 2010, and originally recorded under the name Eskimo Callboy. The group works in electronicore and trancecore, combining metalcore breakdowns and screamed vocals with synth hooks, clean choruses and dance rhythms borrowed from trance and EDM.
The band's profile grew substantially through its videos, which lean on bright costumes, choreography and comic scenarios, and which have circulated widely online.
