M(h)aol is an Irish post-punk band formed in 2015, with members based between Dublin, Bristol and London. Fronted by vocalist Róisín Nic Ghearailt, the group works with sparse arrangements — dry drums, angular bass, scraped guitar — under spoken and half-sung vocals that address misogyny, sexual violence and bodily autonomy directly.

The band's name references Gráinne Mhaol, the sixteenth-century Irish figure, with the bracketed spelling altering its meaning. Their recorded work has appeared through TULLE, and their approach owes an audible debt to the first generation of British post-punk as well as to riot grrrl.
