Dublin's next post-punk export — snarling and kinetic, riding the same wave that carried Fontaines out of the city.
Gurriers are a five-piece from Dublin working in a loud, propulsive strain of post-punk, with shouted and half-spoken vocals from Dan Hoff over guitars that push toward noise rock and shoegaze density. The band built its reputation through live shows in Dublin before releasing its debut album, Come and See, in 2024.
The songs tend to be built on repetition and gradual escalation rather than conventional verses and choruses, with lyrics touching on Irish city life, precarity and frustration.
