The Blue Ridge Girls
Jamie Collins, Martha Spencer and Brett Morris sing Blue Ridge standards and originals in honeyed three-part harmony, with clogging shoes on.
The Blue Ridge Girls are an old-time trio featuring Jamie Collins, Martha Spencer and Brett Morris, drawing on the traditional music of the Blue Ridge region of Virginia and North Carolina. Their repertoire mixes standards from the old-time and early country canon with original material, arranged around close three-part harmony singing and string-band accompaniment. Flatfoot and clog dancing is part of their performance as well as their music, in keeping with the mountain dance traditions the group comes out of.
