The Inspector Cluzo are a duo from Gascony in southwest France — Laurent Lacrouts on guitar and vocals and Mathieu Jourdain on drums — working without a bass player and getting a heavy, blues-rooted rock sound out of the two instruments. They have operated independently since forming, self-releasing their records and organising their own touring rather than signing to a label.
Away from music the pair run a farm in the Landes region, raising geese and growing produce, and they have folded that work into their public identity, structuring their touring around the agricultural calendar and writing about rural life and food production.
