GoldFord is the project of Chicago-raised singer and songwriter Matt Ford. He worked as a songwriter before stepping forward as a performer, and his own records combine soul phrasing with folk-pop structures: piano and acoustic guitar, handclaps and group vocals, choruses built to swell. His rasping voice sits at the centre, and the songs tend toward the plainly encouraging rather than the confessional. "Walk With Me" is the track that carried his name furthest, picking up placements and steady streaming numbers.
