About Lollapalooza 2026

Lollapalooza is the big one: four days, eight stages, and the Chicago skyline rising behind Grant Park. The 2026 edition stacks 172 acts into pop's widest tent — art-pop royalty and brat-era chaos up top, tech-house and K-pop taking over whole afternoons, and a small-print undercard that quietly holds next year's breakouts. Chicago threads itself through the weekend, from John Summit's hometown-hero main-stage set to The Smashing Pumpkins in their own backyard to the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra's traditional opener. It's a festival you navigate rather than simply attend — which is exactly why it pays to know your must-sees before you walk through the gates.

Expect pop, alternative, dance and electronic across 172 acts.

The headliners

  • Lorde The NZ art-pop auteur — brooding, minimal, and generation-defining, back on a headline stage where the whispered verses hit hardest.
  • John Summit Chicago's own tech-house superstar — main-stage house music with hometown-hero energy and the biggest crossover run the genre has seen in years.
  • Charli xcx Pop's reigning vanguardist — the brat era's architect bringing club-pop chaos to the main stage, a decade of underground experiments finally cashing out at scale.
  • The Smashing Pumpkins Chicago's alt-rock monument — Mellon Collie-scale guitars at home in Grant Park, Corgan drama at full wingspan.
  • Olivia Dean The UK's warmest new pop-soul voice — effortless, jazz-schooled songwriting that's conquered charts on both sides of the Atlantic, charm fully intact live.
  • JENNIE BLACKPINK's coolest-in-the-room star gone solo — sleek K-pop, R&B, and fashion-week poise at main-stage scale, with solo hits that stand on their own.
  • Tate McRae Dancer-first pop stardom — precision choreography and inescapable hooks, delivered at full sprint with a dance captain's discipline.
  • The xx Whispered minimalism that somehow fills a festival field — intimacy at headline scale, 'Intro' still raising arm hair.

Up-and-comers to catch early

  • Audrey Hobert Wry, conversational pop songwriting from Gracie Abrams's longtime collaborator turned solo act.
  • Nettspend Gen-Z underground rage rap: distorted, chaotic, and inexplicably magnetic.
  • Chezile "Beanie" broke him everywhere; woozy, warm bedroom soul from Baton Rouge.
  • Waylon Wyatt Teenage Arkansas country prodigy: porch-honest writing in the Zach Bryan lineage.
  • Jim Legxacy South London genre-blur: drill, indie, and R&B folded into diaristic collage.
  • CORTIS HYBE's youngest boy band: self-producing K-pop upstarts on a rocket trajectory.

Other acts worth planning around

  • Little Simz One of rap's sharpest pens, full stop: orchestral ambition and North London grit.
  • Viagra Boys Sweaty, saxophone-wielding Swedish post-punk satire; one of the best live bands on earth right now.
  • YOASOBI Japan's novel-into-song hitmakers; the live band goes harder than you'd expect.
  • Ado Japan's masked vocal phenomenon: a voice that swings from growl to glass-shatter.
  • Wolf Alice Mercury-winning UK alt-rock: whispered folk to full-throated fuzz in one set.
  • Mustard The West Coast's ratchet-era architect, with a DJ set stacked with his own hits.
  • DJ Trixie Mattel The drag superstar behind the decks: camp, pop edits, and pure joy.
