Rock in Rio rebuilds its festival city every edition, and 2026 runs across two September weekends at the Cidade do Rock. Each night has a personality: Foo Fighters lead the rock opener with Rise Against and The Hives; Avenged Sevenfold tops a metal night where Bring Me The Horizon play their debut Count Your Blessings front to back and Sepultura fly the home flag; Elton John shares an evening with Gilberto Gil and Jon Batiste; Stray Kids bring the K-pop night; and Maroon 5 close things out with J Balvin and Demi Lovato.
