Argentina's session-masked producer — the BZRP Music Sessions turned a bedroom format into Latin music's biggest stage.
Bizarrap is the working name of Gonzalo Julián Conde, a producer and DJ from Buenos Aires. He built his reputation on the BZRP Music Sessions, a numbered series of studio collaborations filmed in a fixed setup, with Bizarrap in cap and sunglasses behind the console while a guest rapper or singer performs. The series began with Argentine freestyle and trap artists and expanded to include some of the largest names in Latin pop and reggaeton.
His production draws on trap, reggaeton and electronic dance music, usually built on synth lines and heavy sub-bass. Several sessions have been among the most-viewed Spanish-language music videos on YouTube, and the format has become a recognised platform in its own right.
