British producer whose bass house arrives at speed, brass stabs and sub weight cut together with the timing of a car chase.

JOYRYDE is the bass house project of British producer John Ford, who previously released drum and bass and dubstep under other names before starting the alias in the mid-2010s. The tracks tend to pair blown-out low end with car culture imagery, and titles and artwork lean on the same theme.

The best known material includes "Hot Drum" and the Skrillex collaboration "AGEN WIDA". Ford's records have appeared on Skrillex's OWSLA and on his own imprint, and he built much of the project's early reach through festival DJ sets in the United States.
