Lindsey Stirling is an American violinist, dancer and composer who built an audience through online video before moving to large-scale touring. Classically trained, she performs mostly instrumental music that sets violin lines over electronic production, drawing on dubstep, electronica and film-score textures.

Her performances are built around choreography as much as playing, with Stirling moving through routines while performing live, supported by dancers, lighting and staging. She has released several albums of original material alongside arrangements of existing pieces, and has collaborated with a range of vocalists and instrumentalists.
