Swiss collective braiding North and West African string instruments and vocals into long, hypnotic psychedelic rock grooves.
Yalla Miku came together in Geneva, built around members of the Swiss duo Hyperculte playing with musicians who brought the guembri and the krar into the group. The two halves meet in the middle: bass and drums lock into a repeating figure, the plucked strings circle it, and pieces run long enough for the pattern to shift without ever breaking. Their self-titled debut album appeared on the Geneva label Bongo Joe in 2023.
