About Kendal Calling 2026

Kendal Calling runs at Lowther Deer Park outside Penrith, a Lake District site that gives it hills on every side, and 2026 ran July 30 to August 2. The Kooks opened the Main Stage on the Thursday, Two Door Cinema Club took the Friday, Biffy Clyro the Saturday and Wolf Alice the Sunday.

Underneath that it is unusually northern and unusually deep. The Libertines, Primal Scream, The Vaccines, Scissor Sisters, The Cribs, The Lathums, The Snuts, Jamie Webster and Gabrielle all played the Main Stage, while Calling Out ran Circa Waves and Witch Fever, and Tim Burgess of The Charlatans kept his Tim Peaks Diner going with Lloyd Cole, Bis and the Milltown Brothers. Eleven stages, and a good half of the bill is bands from within an hour's drive.

Expect alternative, rock, indie-rock and pop across 278 acts.
