Kongo Dia Ntotila is a London-based group formed around 2010, drawing on Congolese rumba and soukous and folding in jazz and Afrobeat influences. The line-up combines guitars, horns and vocals in Lingala and French, with the interlocking guitar patterns and shifting sebene sections characteristic of Congolese dance music, played by musicians with backgrounds in jazz and improvised music. Their material is built for dancing, and their live sets emphasise extended grooves and ensemble interplay.
