Bruce Springsteen

No festival dates we track

New Jersey songwriter of working-life epics, backed by the E Street Band across shows that run three hours and change setlist nightly.

Springsteen grew up in Freehold, New Jersey, and built his early reputation on the Jersey Shore bar circuit before Born to Run made him widely known in 1975. His songs tend to follow people at work or out of work: cars, factory towns, families, the distance between what was promised and what arrived. He has alternated large-band records with quieter solo ones, among them the stark Nebraska.

The E Street Band has backed him for most of his career, and their shows are long, loud and paced like a set built to exhaust everyone in the room. Springsteen varies the setlist heavily from night to night, often taking requests from signs held up in the crowd.
