Builds the set from scratch on stage, writing code as the track plays and projecting it for the room — algorave practice turned into an actual dance set.

DJ_Dave is the live-coding project of an Italian-born, US-based programmer and musician who performs by typing code into a text editor in real time, with the screen projected behind the performance. The approach comes out of the algorave scene, where the source of the music is displayed as part of the show rather than hidden behind a mixer.

The results lean toward club-oriented electronic music built from loops and patterns that are edited, layered and broken apart as the set goes on, so the audience can watch a track being assembled and dismantled line by line.
