DFA's industrial techno machine, returned — relentless hardware grooves that grind post-punk down to pure repetition.

Factory Floor formed in London in the late 2000s and became associated with DFA Records, releasing a self-titled album in 2013. The group's music is built from repetitive analogue hardware sequences, live drums and processed vocals, sitting between industrial post-punk and minimal techno. Originally a larger line-up, it later continued as the duo of Nik Colk Void and Gabriel Gurnsey, and both have pursued separate projects alongside the band. Their live sets are performed on machines rather than laptops, with tracks extended and reworked as they go, and the emphasis falls on rhythm and slow textural change rather than song structure.
