South London's unhinged rave-punk cult — klezmer, techno, and total mayhem, a live show that feels like a cult initiation in the best way.

Fat Dog is a South London group formed around 2020 and led by singer Joe Love. They built a following through live shows in the city before releasing their debut album, WOOF., on Domino in 2024.

The sound pulls together punk, four-to-the-floor dance music, saxophone and Eastern European folk melody, with klezmer-adjacent lines running over relentless rhythm tracks. Songs such as "King of the Slugs" and "All the Same" stretch out into long build-and-release structures. Onstage the band leans into costume and repetition, and their reputation rests largely on how physical and chaotic those performances tend to get.
