Funtcase is the alias of James Hazell, a producer and DJ from Bournemouth, England. He performs wearing a distinctive mask and works largely in the heavier, mid-range-driven end of dubstep, with roots in drum and bass. He runs the DPMO label and events series, which has become an outlet for similarly aggressive bass music from other producers. His sets favour rapid mixing and a consistently high intensity, and he has been a fixture of the UK and North American bass scenes for well over a decade.
