John Feldmann's Los Angeles ska-punk institution, later as influential for his production work with a generation of pop-punk bands as for the band itself.

Goldfinger formed in Los Angeles in the mid-1990s around singer and guitarist John Feldmann, and became one of the better-known bands of the third-wave ska-punk boom. Their records mix fast punk guitar with horn arrangements and pop melody, and the band's lineup has changed considerably over the years with Feldmann the constant.

Feldmann's parallel career as a producer and songwriter has arguably had the wider reach, taking in a long list of pop-punk and rock acts recorded at his own studio. Goldfinger has continued in various forms, with later lineups drawing members from other bands in the same scene.
