Three sisters from Los Angeles whose soft-rock harmonies sit on top of unusually muscular rhythm playing — a band where everyone swaps instruments and nobody coasts.

HAIM is a band from Los Angeles made up of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, who grew up playing together in a family covers group before forming the trio in the late 2000s. Danielle handles most lead vocals and guitar, Este plays bass and Alana moves between guitar and keyboards, with all three singing.

Their music combines close sibling harmony and West Coast soft-rock songwriting with rhythm playing that draws on R&B and pop production. They broke through internationally with their debut album Days Are Gone in 2013 and have continued releasing records since, working frequently with producer Ariel Rechtshaid.
