Louisiana-born, beard-and-baritone Nashville songwriter whose easygoing hits — 'Singles You Up,' 'Buy Dirt' — hide a serious craftsman's touch.

Jordan Davis grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, in a musical family — his brother Jacob is also a country artist, and an uncle worked as a songwriter in Nashville. He studied environmental science at Louisiana State University before moving to Tennessee to write songs, and signed with MCA Nashville, releasing his debut album Home State in 2018.

His records sit on the pop-leaning side of mainstream country: warm, mid-tempo arrangements, a low and unhurried vocal, and lyrics that tend to work in small domestic details rather than broad statements. Alongside the songs he is best known for, his catalogue includes "Slow Dance in a Parking Lot," "Take It From Me" and "Next Thing You Know." He continues to write much of his own material.
