Italian brothers based in Berlin, building slow-burning club tracks that lean on mood, texture and patience rather than on any obvious payoff.

Mind Against is the project of Italian brothers Alessandro and Federico Fognini, who relocated to Berlin and built their reputation there. Their productions sit between deep house, melodic techno and something closer to electronic pop, favouring long build-ups, heavy reverb and melodic figures that surface gradually over the course of a track rather than arriving as a drop.

The duo's early records appeared on Life and Death, and their music has since been closely associated with the Afterlife label and its wider circle of melodic techno artists. They perform as a DJ duo, and their sets tend to follow the same logic as the productions: patient pacing, atmosphere carried across long stretches, and an emphasis on mood over immediate impact.
