Australian twins who wrote hits for other people first, including a Grammy-winning one, before taking the booth themselves.

Miriam and Olivia Nervo are identical twins born in 1982 in Ivanhoe, a suburb of Melbourne, who signed to Sony/ATV Music Publishing at eighteen and set out as a songwriting team rather than performers.

Their early credits included "Negotiate with Love," written for British singer Rachel Stevens, which reached the UK top ten in 2005, along with songs for Kesha, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ashley Tisdale and the Pussycat Dolls.

A 2008 publishing deal with Fredrik Olsson's Razor Boy Music led to a co-write with Kelly Rowland on "When Love Takes Over" with David Guetta, a track that later won a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording in its Afrojack remix form.

Nervo began releasing music under their own name in 2005, signed a worldwide recording deal with Virgin/EMI in 2010, and issued their debut album, Collateral, in 2015. As a DJ duo they work mainly in big-room house and electro, sharing vocal duties on releases that keep the songwriting habits of their earlier career.

They have built a long run of club and arena bookings across Europe and North America since the late 2000s.
